6 month project

In my work this time, my theme is dot painting. My inspiration comes from water. Among them, I can see the stars in my works. I think that seeing the stars in the sky is also a kind of point painting. So for me, stars and water can be combined. When you look at the reflection of the sea, you can see it. star.

Reflection

In this past 6 months, I wan to use the art style and the painting to make jewelry. In my opinion, it will be an interesting project. Before I think about it, I went to the National Gallery and see pointillism and color of the impressionism. These painting are work of painters of the last century.

At the Gillaman Barracks and the Art Science Museum , I could see some Op art styles. In my opinion, the are all different. The style, feeling and most of the works are modernist and abstractionist art which caught my attention. I like the work which is known as “ Space” uses a lot of transparent beads string into a very long vertical chain. I look like a curtain, the curtain covered the room is the most special as the light of the irradiation effect is very beautiful as we see from a different direction and distance the effect is not the same.

I also went to the Asian Civilization Museum. I found that the sand exhibition most interesting as the visual illusion is the one that I like most. For example some we could see that it is very organized and others can be messy which we do not know what the artist have drawn. I think that the art is also visual illusion as seen from the National library, the water that i saw from books is in fact the sky in the water , we could see the water and sky at the same time.

Through various research from all the different style of art, I come to realize that chose, many ideas from pointillism to the “ Space” installation to water effect into my design.

These combination of idea , looks like the illusion of distortion and this allow people to relax while seeing the work. Each time the person see the object they can see something different.

Concept Idea

My concept is nature. My inspiration is the combination of water, Pointillism and stars.

I use the shape of the waves , the layering as well as pointillism idea is interpreted through the use of glass ball to create my piece.

Why I choose this topic ?

In my works, The combination of water, Pointillism and fluorescence is a new creation.

I like Pointillism, because when i see the pointillism art, I think this style art looking interesting, pointillism is use small dot to from an image. when you close to see the that art, you just can see many point (dot), when you from to see the that art, you just think this is an ordinary object. so this art style interesting.

I think water is natural in the world and water is very purified that can be a source of pointillism.

Fluorescence look like star. Fluorescence is mysterious in the depths, and the feeling is a view light in the stare. In the depths of the darkness, these little dots are faint and ordinary, but i think for every star in the sky in unique and has its own value and meaning.
